In this blog post, I wish to tell a little bit about my experience applying for and receiving an offer to intern as a Growth marketing intern at Hello Fresh.
I have found the job posting via Linked In, however, I think it is simpler to apply directly through the HF website as it allows you to see all the available positions easier.
The application process for Hello Fresh is as simple as it gets, I was asked to fill in the usual information such as my name, address, email, etc. I then was asked to upload my CV and that was it. I received an email within 10 minutes informing me that my application was submitted and I can await their response within 2 weeks as the volume of applications at that period was large.
And sure enough after about a week, I was contacted by the lovelies recruiter Tabitha via email, she told me that my profile was a good match for the company and she would like to get to know me better, we then arranged a date for my interview with her.
During the first interview, we met online and I was asked standard questions about my educational background, and my motivation, as well as some administrative stuff such as if I needed a visa and for how long I was available. At the end of our conversation, Tabitha told me that she would reach out to me in the next few days to let me know the outcome of my interview.
To my surprise, within just a few hours I received an email from her informing me that I seemed like a great fit for the team and I was invited to complete an online assessment.
On the selected date I was sent an assessment which I had to complete in Microsoft Excel, the assessment consisted of a few basic Excel tasks and was not too difficult.
The next day I was contacted again to arrange an interview with the team lead of the team I would be joining.
The last interview was in person I had to commute to the Hello Fresh office in Amsterdam where I met my team lead Willem-Jan, he asked me once again about my motivations and my education, and just for the rest of the interview, we had quite a nice informal conversation. In the end, he thanked me for my time and asked me to wait about a week for them to make a final decision.
The waiting was the hardest part, and exactly one week later I received a phone call from Tabitha to inform me that I had been offered a position in the team.
