Daily Life as a Marketing Intern at Leonine Studios

When I first started my internship at Leonine Studios, I didn’t quite know what to expect. What I found was a dynamic and engaging environment that offered more learning opportunities than I could have imagined. As a marketing intern, my days are packed with various tasks that range from creative brainstorming sessions to detailed market research. Let me walk you through a typical day in my life at Leonine Studios.

First thing in the morning, I check my emails and review the international box office results for recent cinema releases. These metrics are crucial not only for tracking performance but also for identifying trends that could influence our umcoming cinema releases and marketing strategies. A quick team meeting follows where we discuss our priorities and deadlines for the week. The energy in these meetings is always high, setting a productive tone for the day.

One of my core responsibilities is conducting competitive environment analyses and market research, as well as comparing its potential audience with demographics from similar films. This involves gathering a lot of data analysis, from market research tools. It’s rewarding to see how this data shapes our marketing strategies and ultimately contributes to a film’s success in the cinema.

Lunch breaks are a wonderful opportunity to recharge and connect with colleagues from different departments.

The afternoons are usually dedicated to more hands-on creative tasks. Recently, I had the chance to assist in Poster Shootings for two upcoming german movie releases Collaborating with photographers, designers, and talent during these shoots has been an eye-opening experience, highlighting the intricate details that make a promotional campaign successful. It’s one of the most exciting parts of my role.

A significant aspect of my internship revolves around promotion and press activities. I’m involved in everything from planning to executing promotional campaigns. The challenge lies in ensuring that all the moving parts align seamlessly, but the payoff is seeing a campaign take off successfully.

Later in the afternoon, I might be tasked with booking cinema halls for screenings and press previews. Each of these events demands careful planning and attention to detail. Another exciting part of my job is reading new scripts and providing assessments based on the target audience, comparable films, and commercial potential. It’s thrilling to get a sneak peek into potential new projects and play a role in their early-stage evaluation.

As the day ends, I usually handle general office duties like filing FSK applications online or sending out complimentary tickets to employees and promotional partners. These seemingly minor tasks are essential for keeping our operations running smoothly.
