My internship at concept M has been an enjoyable and enriching experience. I have learnt a lot, honing my skills in digital marketing, client interaction, and qualitative research while also discovering a lot about the psycho of consumers.
One of the highlights of my experience was working closely with the co-founders to improve his skills on LinkedIn sales navigator and helping develop strategies for customer acquisition. Crafting these strategies required a blend of creativity, analytical thinking, and a keen understanding of consumer behavior – skills that I cultivated and refined during my time at concept M. It was both challenging and rewarding to share my knowledge and see tangible results as he implemented the new strategies. It wasn’t all sunshine and rainbows, I often had to help coworkers with things I would have expected them to be able to do on their own however due to their technical lack of expertise I would have to walk them through the steps one by one.
I spent a lot of my time in the internship learning and researching about different topics at the request of my co-workers. They started relying on me as someone who could get things done quite quickly when it came to technological aspects, for example LinkedIn but I also was involved in research on TikTok and Twitter to find advertisements or sentiments about certain topics. However, I was not only involved in digital or computer based work, I also had the opportunity to contribute to the development of and undertake interviews for psychological studies based on the clients requests. Through qualitative interviewing and rigorous analysis, I learned a lot about the drivers of consumer behavior, particularly in the fields of energy providers and hair care.
However, what I feel I learned the most about or had to learn the most about perhaps the need for collaboration to achieve the goals of concept M. Much of the work I was able to do was only able to be completed because of prior presentations/reports/studies/research done by concept M or their clients which allowed me to very efficiently deliver the work they desired from me.
As I move forward from this experience, I carry with me a deeper understanding of marketing principles, and a sense of confidence in my abilities. I’m grateful for the lessons learned and the memories made along the way. As I reflect on my time spent interning at concept M, I’m filled with a sense of pride in my work and gratitude for the opportunity to immerse myself in the world of consumer psychological marketing.
