Hi All! My name is Lynn Lee, second year communication science student. I started my internship with PVH Corp from February 2024. PVH Corp consists of their iconic brands: Calvin Klein and Tommy Hilfiger. Their motto, “That’s the Power of Us, that’s the Power of PVH,” really shows how they work together to make a strong impact. PVH has three main headquarters around the world, and I got the chance to intern with PVH Europe B.V., focusing on Europe, the Middle East, and Africa (EMEA).
A Central Role in the Creative Services Team
I was the first intern in the Creative Services team for the EMEA region, which is pretty cool! This team is super important for the Direct-to-Consumer (DTC) organisation. They make sure the stores and showrooms look amazing for customers. They follow global guidelines from the Tommy Hilfiger Store Design & Visual Experience department in Amsterdam and the Calvin Klein Global department in New York. They do everything from developing Visual Merchandising & Windows guidelines to creating window displays, running showrooms, and training on product presentations. They work closely with the market to ensure everything runs smoothly.
As the first intern in this department, I had a unique role as a Visual Merchandising & Communications intern. I was the bridge between the Tommy Hilfiger Visual Merchandising & Windows team and the PVH Creative Services Operations team. I helped with various window development and communications projects, working closely with the Senior Specialist Planning & Production to streamline ordering and production processes for Tommy Hilfiger’s EMEA rollout. I helped develop and refine window guidelines and other presentation materials to ensure everything looked consistent and on-brand. One of the coolest parts of my internship was working on the 360 Matterport creation for the Tommy Hilfiger and Calvin Klein Showrooms. This project involved making virtual tours to showcase the brands’ immersive retail experiences.
A Camaraderie Experience
Interning at PVH Corp was an amazing experience! Working with my amazing team was both enjoyable and enriching, filled with lots of jokes and laughter in between tasks. Grabbing coffee breaks together and getting drinks almost every Thursday fostered a strong sense of camaraderie and made the internship even more memorable. This blend of professional growth and personal connections truly made my time at PVH Corp special. This has provided valuable insights into the importance of teamwork and relationship-building in a professional setting. I would definitely do it again if there is an opportunity 🙂
