I’m here to share with you all about my incredible internship experience at Travix, a global online travel company. From day one, I knew this internship was going to be something special!
Let me tell you a bit about the company first. Travix owns five well-known brands: CheapTickets, Budget Air, Vayama, Vliegwinkel.nl, and Flugladen. With a rich history dating back to 1975, Travix has come a long way, now serving millions of passengers and boasting a team of over 400 employees globally.
During my time at Travix, I was a part of the Communications team in the Customer Operations department as a Customer Operations Communications intern. This role allowed me to dip my toes into both internal and external communication tasks, which were both challenging and rewarding.
Interning at Travix felt like being welcomed into a big, friendly team. The company’s culture is incredibly welcoming and inclusive. Many of my colleagues were supportive mentors, always ready to guide me through any challenges I faced. I was impressed by how diverse and culturally rich the team was, and that really added to the overall experience! Travix believes in fostering a strong bond between colleagues beyond just work hours. So, there were plenty of enjoyable activities to be a part of outside of work. From team-building events to monthly drinks after work.
In terms of my responsibilities, I had a fantastic time working on the weekly and quarterly newsletters. These newsletters were a fun way to keep the Customer Operation’s employees in the loop about company updates, exciting news, and team achievements. The best part was getting to be creative with the design, making sure they were visually appealing and easy to read.
On the external communication side, I had the chance to work with the digital channels, including testing the Travix chatbot. This was a unique and exciting experience! I tested its functionality to ensure seamless interactions. The chatbot is an awesome tool to assist customers with their queries and help them find the information they needed quickly.
Moreover, I was involved in sending out customer satisfaction questionnaires via email and analyzing the customer satisfaction scores over time. Understanding customer satisfaction is vital for any company, and I loved being a part of this process, knowing my contributions could positively impact the overall customer experience.
All in all, my internship at Travix was amazing. I learned so much, made connections, and had a lot of working experience. If you’re looking for an internship that not only provides valuable experience but also nurtures a fun and inclusive atmosphere, Travix is the place to be!
