Change can be perceived as a good or bad thing, but here at Versuni, formerly Philips Domestic Appliances, the power of change is embraced with open arms! As the global communications and PR intern, my time at Versuni has been an exciting journey filled with challenges and great learning opportunities. Former Philips Domestic Appliances had to undergo a name change and is now called Versuni. Working in a company that suddenly had a different name might have seemed confusing for some, but has added a whole new level of fun and excitement to the workplace!
When Versuni announced its name change, employees definitely had to get used to the whole re-branding of the company. Philips is a known brand with quite some heritage in the domestic appliances branche and Versuni is an unknown name. But the people were enthusiastic to change this and committed to undergo the re-branding and showcase their ability to adapt and evolve, which translated into an exhilarating work environment. Embracing the change allowed us to witness firsthand the power of transformation and innovation, and I was thrilled to be a part of it. During my first days I was already getting involved in the implementation of new corporate messaging that will be globally applied!
My internship in global communications and PR at Versuni exposed me to a fast-paced and dynamic industry. With the name change, there was a whirlwind of activities surrounding the re-branding campaign. From crafting captivating press releases to managing social media campaigns, every day brought new challenges and opportunities to showcase the company’s fresh face to the world.
We worked hard and played hard!
While the work is demanding and fast-paced, the team understands the importance of maintaining a positive and enjoyable environment. The name change created a sense of camaraderie among employees, and we celebrated this milestone with some fun activities.
One of the most rewarding aspects of my internship at Versuni was the constant opportunity for personal and professional growth.

I can’t help but feel grateful for the incredible journey I’ve had. The company’s name change was a great learning even for my personal life. I should not be afraid of change. Change can bring new opportunities; it pushes you out of your comfort zone and drives innovation and fosters creativity. One thing I have noticed is that the people in Versuni embraced the challenge and even during darker times they saw the positive things and saw this name change as an opportunity to give their input and take part in forming a new organization from scratch. Working in global communications and PR allowed me to hone my skills while witnessing the transformative power of change. This internship might be over now, but I know that whatever awaits me on my ever-changing journey, is something that will only benefit me like change benefited Versuni.
