A story of an event marketing intern growing in a caring environment
It was my first ever internship as an Event Marketing Intern. I have spent my time in this company to gain wisdom, love, connections and of course, priceless memories with these amazing people.
When I first applied for this position, I just simply fall in love with this company because of its family spirit and green-oriented offices. Previously I got several experiences in event organizations, however, I never worked with anything related to e-mobility before and neither do my friends or families. This caused me some trouble in the first month because it is the first time I encountered so many technical terms, the first time I have to work with such a big company that has so many departments and sub-teams. Moreover, due to the Corona situation, the continuous reorganization of human resources was inevitable. As a result, I was overwhelmed and stood back since I had to process many things at the same time. Fortunately, I really want to convey my gratitude to all of my colleagues here for their patience and care in helping me, teaching me, and being my friends.
One said: “After every rain, there’s a rainbow”. After settling into the work pace, I had the chance to shine in my own way. My manager and my mentor trusted me and they allowed me to take charge of the whole communication strategy whenever it comes to any event projects of the company. In this way, I started to build up more of my legacies via organizing work systematically and revolutionarily. Hence, our team impressed the marketing departments with our achievements although we are confronting the covid time.
One of my biggest projects is organizing monthly virtual events called REVOLUTION. In this project, I participated from the scratch till the end of the show such as contacting stakeholders and speakers, developing event marketing and social media strategies, being the moderators of the events, etc. Each task gave me a hard lesson to improve my interpersonal and professional skills better. During this time, although we encountered some conflicts and troubles, I still appreciated the criticism and feedback because it means my colleagues truly care and encourage me to be a better person. These faults also gave me experiences of how to handle problems in a softer and wiser way in the future.
It was such a great pleasure for me to work in a lovely and wonderful marketing department. I am not only excited but also proud to be a part of EVBox and watch the growth of the company. Throughout this period, I have learned and gathered precious experiences in terms of event platforms, event planning, and event communication & promotion for both tradeshow and digital events.
