My E-Com Internship at CLUSE

I recently completed my 7-month internship at CLUSE. You may have seen the infamous CLUSE watches on your Instagram feed before. Over the years, CLUSE has collaborated with hundreds of micro and macro influencers to raise the brand awareness of CLUSE. That’s how I also became familiar with the brand in the first place. Back in 2017, I came across CLUSE on Instagram, and I was sold. Years later, CLUSE has paved its way to becoming the most popular watch and jewelry brand in France.

At CLUSE, I interned in the E-Commerce department, working as an all-around E-Commerce Intern. This was my first experience working for a corporation, and reflecting on the past seven months, it feels crazy how much I have grown and learned. The position was very diverse, and I had several responsibilities. Most of the time, I assisted the Content Specialist and the Online Merchandiser with their weekly tasks, including content management, email marketing, and search engine optimization.

In addition to the weekly tasks, I got the chance to work on several content-building projects, which was a great way to challenge my creativity and develop my project management skills. One of the most significant projects I worked on was the “Watch Guide” page. My manager had wanted to create the page for a long time, but as there are always things to do in the field of e-commerce, the project had been put to the backlog. As I provided my team with an extra pair of hands, my manager assigned this project to me. Starting from scratch, This project included writing copy, building content blocks, and ultimately, evaluating the page’s performance on Google Analytics.

First, I had to do a lot of research before writing the copy. As the landing page was informational in nature, providing customers information about the watches and how to take care of them, it was important that all the information on the page would be accurate. Hence, I had to interview the product management team to learn more about the products and the process that happens behind the scene. This way, I was able to learn more and write the copy. After the copy was finished, it was time to build the content blocks and add images and videos. Once everything was completed after a few months, we could finally put the page live. This was definitely my most significant accomplishment during my internship, and I am proud to add it to my portfolio when applying for future jobs.
